Abstract

In the context of the global commitment to mitigate climate change, as reflected in the Paris Agreement, and amid a growing trend towards more sustainable transportation systems, the development of infrastructure for hydrogen production and distribution emerges as a crucial component of the energy transition. In this regard, Uruguay, recognized for its dedication to renewable energies, presents itself as a favorable environment for implementing innovative technologies in the transportation sector. Therefore, the primary objective of this article is to design an algorithm for the strategic planning of an optimal network of hydrogen stations in Uruguay. This initiative aims to catalyze the adoption of these emerging technologies and promote progress towards a more sustainable mobility, leveraging the opportunities provided by the Uruguayan context.
