Abstract

The economy is a phenomenon from which no one can escape. Whether we like it or not, our lives are partly determined by this phenomenon, and it invades various aspects of our daily lives. With the passage of time, the list of economic agents grew, not only in number, but also in category, incorporating among them the State, a legal entity with a very particular influence. Through this work, the tools that the Uruguayan State has to intervene in the economy will be analyzed, through the different roles it plays and the different existing public legal entities.
