Abstract

Interactivity with linear and “on demand” content provided by the Digital Terrestrial Television stations is a growing demand by viewers. This technology has evolved to the current concept of Hybrid Television. This article describes the general architecture of the Hybrid Television systems, and presents the main standards in interactive Hybrid Television currently used in different regions worldwide.
